FREDsense Technologies Corp., a Calgary, Alberta-based company building water quality measurement tools, closed a Convertible Debenture valued at $2.5m.
BDC Capital’s Cleantech Practice provided the funding.
The company intends to use the funds to grow their current and future sensor expansion plans, developing new solutions for various water quality parameters in conjunction with global partners.
Led by CEO David Lloyd, FREDsense has developed a biologically based technology for rapidly measuring hard to detect chemicals in the environment. The company builds portable field kits for rapid measurement of these parameters to deliver chemical information quickly.
