Age of Learning Raises $300M in Funding

Age of Learning, a Los Angeles CA-based provider of learning products, raised $300M in funding.

The round was led by TPG with participation from Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and Madrone Capital Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to expand and further increase investment in new products and technologies.

Founded in 2007 and led by Paul Candland, CEO, and Doug Dohring, Founder & Executive Chairman, Age of Learning develops digital educational programs with proven efficacy in increasing children’s learning gains. It is the creator of:

  • ABCmouse Early Learning Academy, a digital education program for children ages 2-8 in the U.S. and will expand to include more personalized experiences for kids.
  • My Math Academy, a personalized learning program that adapts and pinpoints each child’s skill level and continuously provides just-right challenges to help learners master the foundations of math.
  • Adventure Academy, a multiplayer online education game (MMO) for elementary and middle school students.
  • ABCmouse English, which helps children around the world learn English in the way they naturally acquire their native language.
