Acelab, a NYC-based digital marketplace connecting architects and manufacturers of building products, raised $3.5M in seed funding.
The round was led by Pillar VC with participation from Alpaca (formerly Corigin), Draper Associates, Transcend Partners, MIT MET Fund, and Erik Jarnryd.
Led by Dries Carmeliet and Vardhan Mehta, Acelab provides a building products marketplace that connects architects and manufacturers.
The platform features:
- a product library and comparison,
- price quotes, lead times, and spec sheets, and a
- manufacturer database management and analytics
Acelab is currently running a pilot of its platform with architectural firms and manufacturers from across the U.S., in preparation for a general availability launch. The company is also working on select pilot projects through the Design For Freedom movement, organized by Grace Farms Foundation.
