Accel Closes Three New Funds, Totalling $3 Billion

Global venture capital firm Accel closed $3 billion across three new funds.

These include:

  • its fifteenth US early-stage fund of $650m,
  • its seventh early-stage fund for Europe and Israel of $650m, and
  • its sixth growth fund of $1.75 billion.

Limited Partners include large foundations, university endowments and research institutions, charitably finance. 

Accel is a venture capital firm that invests in people and their companies from the earliest days through all phases of private company growth. Among the companies the firm has backed over the past 35 years there are Atlassian, Braintree, Cloudera, CrowdStrike, DJI, Dropbox, Dropcam, Etsy, Facebook, Flipkart, FreshWorks, Jet, Qualtrics, Slack, Spotify, Supercell, UiPath and Vox Media.
