Winpro Pet, a Des Moines, Iowa-based leader in serum-based supplements for dogs, raised an over $3m Series B funding.
Backers included Next Level Ventures, which joined existing investor Summit Equity Group.
The company intends to use the funds to expand its marketing and new product development efforts.
Founded in 2016 by Bill Bernardo, Winpro Pet provides made in the U.S.A serum-based supplement products created for dogs. The company brought to the dog world the science behind animal blood proteins which first came to light in the 1980s, when it was shown to reduce the mortality rate in weaning piglets. The science behind this discovery next crossed over to cattle and horses, until it was introduced by the company to the canine health market.
