United Airlines has launched a new, corporate venture fund.
United Airlines Ventures will allow the airline company to continue investing in emerging companies that have the potential to influence the future of travel.
In details, the new arm will concentrate on
– focusing on decarbonizing air travel
– unlocking advancements in aircraft development and aerospace research
– developing innovative technologies that will create value commercially, for the customer, or throughout United’s expansive operations.
The portfolio includes Clear, Archer Aviation and Fulcrum BioEnergy.
United’s current Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations, Michael Leskinen, will assume the role of President of United Airlines Ventures in addition to his current responsibilities.
