SSENSE Received Minority Investment from Sequoia Capital; Valued At Over $5 Billion

Ssense, a Montreal, Canada-based platform for fashion, secured a minority investment from Sequoia Capital, valuing the company at over $5 billion.  

The amount of the deal was not disclosed. Following the transaction, Angelica Cheung, Venture Partner for Sequoia Capital China, will join the Ssense’s Board of Directors.

The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate its growth strategy.

Co-founded in 2003 by brothers Rami, Firas, and Bassel Atallah, Ssense is a global technology platform that features a mix of established and emerging luxury brands across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, etc.

The company generates an average of 100 million monthly page views.
