SignalWire, a Palo Alto in CA-based tech telecommunications tech company, raised $30M in Series B funding.
The round, which brought total funding to $41.6m to date, was led by Prosperity7 Ventures, with participation from Storm Ventures, Samsung NEXT, Jerry Yang (AME Cloud Ventures), and Dean Drako (Barracuda Networks).
The company intends to use the funds to to ramp up the development of a unified development layer and platform upon which the next generation of communications applications are built.
Led by Anthony Minnesale, Co-Founder and CEO, SignalWire is a software-defined telecommunications technology company building the infrastructure for Telecom 2.0, the next generation of modern telecommunications technologies. The core technology allows developers to integrate APIs and SDKs into products that consume fewer engineering, bandwidth, and processing resources.
