Ganaz, a Seattle, WA-based provider of a workforce management platform for agriculture and food manufacturing, raised $7m in Series A funding.
Backers included Bessemer Venture Partners, Founders’ Co-op, Taylor Ventures, AgFunder and Techstars. In conjunction with the funding, Peter van Oppen, a Partner at Trilogy Equity, joined the Ganaz board.
The company intends to use the funds for further expansion of its platform.
Led by Hannah Freeman, CEO, Ganaz provides an integrated workforce management and financial services platform for agriculture and food processing, currently offering employee onboarding, training, communication and workforce analytics. Later this year, the company will launch the Ganaz Mastercard® Payroll Card, delivering digital financial services for a population that is largely unbanked, saving both workers and employers time and money.
Ganaz currently serves over 175,000 food industry workers.
