Accenture (NYSE: ACN) acquired Sentor, a Stockholm, Sweden-based independent provider of cyber defense and managed security services.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Sentor’s approximately 80 cybersecurity professionals will join the Accenture Security team in Sweden, extending the firm’s local resources and capabilities and addressing the demand for local cybersecurity and managed security services.

Founded in 1998 and led by Åse Holmberg, CEO, Sentor is a provider of cyber defense and managed security services. The company’s portfolio includes advisory services, security testing, managed detection and incident-response capabilities, powered by a 24/7/365 security operations center in Stockholm. Sentor, which has additional offices in Gӓvle and Malmӧ, has a client base spanning multiple industries, including finance, insurance, manufacturing and retail.

Accenture Security is a provider of end-to-end cybersecurity services, including advanced cyber defense, applied cybersecurity solutions and managed security operations. It brings security innovation, coupled with global scale and a worldwide delivery capability through a network of Advanced Technology and Intelligent Operations centers.
