Puttshack, a Chicago, IL-based tech-powered mini golf experience with global food and drink, raised $60m in funding.

The round was led by Promethean Investments.

The company intends to use the funds to bring its experience to more cities in the U.S., UK and around the world by securing real estate opportunities.

Founded by Steve and Dave Jolliffe, original founders of Topgolf and World Golf Systems, and Adam Breeden, co-founder of Flight Club, Ace Bounce and All Star Lanes, Puttshack is combines a tech-infused mini golf game with food and beverage. The experience leverages trackaball technology which allows guests to play a point scoring game surrounded by an upscale environment.

The company has its global headquarters in Chicago, Ill. with a UK headquarters in London.

Joining its three current UK venues, Puttshack opened its first U.S. location in Atlanta last month, with plans to open Oak Brook, Ill., in Fall 2021, and Miami soon after. The team also recently signed a lease in Nashville’s The Gulch neighborhood at the site of the old Gibson Guitar factory and is expected to announce multiple new U.S. locations soon that plan to open in 2022.
