project44, a Chicago, IL-based logistics tech company, is to acquire ClearMetal, a San Francisco-based market leader in international supply chain visibility and predictive analytics for enterprises.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The addition of ClearMetal enables project44 to become a market leader in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and data science capabilities. The combined solution provides improved supplier collaboration, end-to-end ETA accuracy, and order-level visibility.
Led by Adam Compain, Founder & CEO, ClearMetal provides a patented artificial intelligence (AI) platform that enables organizations to optimize their supply chains and provides customers with access to live information about their orders and shipments. ClearMetal is funded by Eclipse Ventures, Prelude Ventures, Innovation Endeavors, NEA, SAP.io, Prologis, PSA Unboxed, DCLI, Munich Re Ventures, BTomorrow Ventures, and the founders of GT Nexus, Navis, and Uber Freight.
Combined with project44’s multi-modal, global network, ClearMetal provides customers with granular visibility earlier on in the lifecycle of an order to predict and act on supply chain disruptions, before they occur. This new functionality includes inventory visibility for shippers and direct integrations with freight forwarders and ocean carriers.
Led by Jett McCandless, Founder & CEO, project44 provides a cloud-based platform that enables organizations to increase operational efficiencies, reduce costs, improve shipping performance, and deliver an Amazon-like experience to their customers.
