Optimal Dynamics Raises $18.4M in Series A Funding

-

Optimal Dynamics, a NYC-based startup aiming to build the decision layer of logistics and supply chain management, raised a $18.4m Series A funding.

The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from returning investors Fusion Fund, The Westly Group, TenOneTen Ventures, Embark Ventures, FitzGate Ventures, John Larkin and John Hess.

The company intends to use the funds to more than triple its current 25 person operation, with a focus on R&D and expanding current sales and marketing efforts, and to drive development efforts for new products in the logistics and supply chain industry.

Led by Daniel Powell, Co-Founder and CEO, Optimal Dynamics provides CORE.ai, a SaaS based product that helps companies perform strategic, tactical and real-time planning in one place, and enables dynamic planning and automated operations.

CORE.ai’s ability to learn from and plan for uncertainty  also allows companies to plan further into the future and makes it possible to perform strategic (what-if simulation), tactical (1-15 days into the future), and real-time planning, all with the same technology.
