Mech-Mind Robotics Closes Series C Funding

Mech-Mind Robotics, a Beijing, China-based AI industrial robotics startup, completed a Series C funding round.

The round, which brought total funding to over USD100m, was led by Meituan, with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital China and Source Code Capital.

Founded in 2016 by Tianlan Shao, CEO, Mech-Mind leverages advanced technologies including deep learning, 3D vision, and motion planning to offer solutions to palletizing and depalletizing, bin picking, order sorting, machine tending and assembly/gluing/locating in logistics and manufacturing.
Its intelligent industrial robot solutions are used in automotive OEM plants, appliance plants, steel plants, food plants, logistics warehouses, banks, and hospitals in countries such as China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, the U.S.

In addition, the company also provides comprehensive service including staff training, deployment planning, marketing support, and collaboration on challenging projects.

Mech-Mind already serves nearly 1000 clients worldwide via a global team of over 350 employees based in Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Changsha, Qingdao, Munich, and Tokyo.
