Kickfurther, a Boulder, Colo.-based crowdfunded inventory funding platform, raised $5.9m in seed plus funding.
The round was led by Grand Oaks Capital, with participation from previous investors Tim Draper through Draper Associates and venture capitalist Bill Tai, amongst others.
The company intends to use the funds to accelerate investment in technology and marketing.
Led by Sean De Clercq, CEO, and newly added Chief Strategy Officer John Donovan, Kickfurther is a crowdfunded inventory funding platform that has provided over $70 million in working capital to small and medium sized product businesses in the US.
The company tripled staff over the past two years while opening a second office in Buffalo, New York.
