Territory Foods, an Arlington, Va.-based nutritionist designed meal delivery service tailored to personalized dietary preferences, closed a $22m funding round.
The round, which brought to-date total funds raised to $44m, was led by U.S. Venture Partners with participation from Upfront Ventures, Lewis & Clark Ventures, DF Enterprises, S2G Ventures, Gaingels, Middleland Capital, Finistere Ventures and Rethink Food Capital, as well as celebrities Abby Wambach and Vernon Davis.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its business reach nationwide.
Led by Ellis McCue, CEO, Territory Foods is a nutritionist designed, chef-crafted meal delivery platform that partners with a network of local chefs and restaurants across the country to offer responsibly sourced, nutrient-rich meals.
Territory launched in Alexandria, VA in 2012 and has grown to serve over 20 major U.S. markets from coast to coast.
Partners include chefs from LA-based Gracias Madre and Cafe Gratitude to Founding Farmers in the northeast and additional independent chefs across the country – of which 42% are women-owned and 38% being BIPOC-Latinx led businesses.
