Scorpion Raises $100M in Funding


Scorpion, a Salt Lake City, UT – based provider of technology and services for local businesses, raised $100m in funding.

Bregal Sagemount made the investment.

The company intends to use the funds to expand its technology and customer offerings.

Led by Daniel Street, CEO, Mikel Chertudi, Chief Revenue Officer, Raj Ramanan, Chief Operating Officer, and Azim Nagree, EVP Operations and M&A. Street, Scorpion combines AI technology and teams of experts to allow local businesses to improve performance and marketing capabilities by understanding their unique market dynamics, competitors, and customers. The company offers SEO, Reviews, Advertising, Email Marketing, Chat and Messaging, Social Media, Websites, Lead Management, Appointment Scheduling, and more.

Founder Rustin Kretz is Chief Product Officer and Chairman of the Board. 

The company is continuing to expand its nearly 1,000 employee team, bringing increased expertise across a variety of verticals including  legal, home service providers, healthcare and franchises. Additionally, Scorpion recently acquired CanIRank, an SEO software company that provides AI for customers to secure locally-relevant, actionable, SEO insights and recommendations.
The company also has offices in California, Texas, and New York.
