n8n, a Berlin, Germany-based provider of a next-gen workflow automation tool, raised $12m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Felicis Ventures with participation from Sequoia Capital, firstminute Capital, and Harpoon Ventures and angels Kevin Hartz, Co-Founder of Eventbrite, Ilkka Paananen, Supercell CEO and Founder and early employees of Google and Zendesk among others.
The company intends to use the funds to invest in its product, to build its team, hire across functions including engineering, developer relations, sales and marketing.
Founded by CEO Jan Oberhauser in 2019, n8n provides a free and open node-based workflow automation tool which can be self-hosted, extended, and used with third-party web applications or custom in-house tools to automate repetitive tasks. It offers API connectors to more than 200 different apps, and users can add their own or extend existing connectors via the source code, which is accessible. In addition to automating business processes, the product can also be used as a backend for low code products or services.
Since its launch, n8n has ammassed a community of 16,000 users, contributors and advocates.
