Moxie Raises $6.3M in Seed+ Funding

Moxie, a NYC- and Berlin, Germany-based virtual fitness platform, raised $6.3M in Seed+ funding.

The round, which follows a $2.1M Seed round announced in October 2020, bringing total funds raised to date to $8.4M, was led by Resolute Ventures with participation from Bessemer Ventures, Greycroft Ventures, Gokul Rajaram and additional industry leaders such as Bruce Bell of Square, Manik Gupta of Uber, Jay Parikh of Facebook, and Mark Kingdon, as well as several early stage venture capital funds.

The company intends to use the funds to enhance the user experience for
consumers and further support its trainers.

Led by Jason Goldberg, CEO and Founder, Moxie provides a platform for people to train from anywhere with coaches for every body, style, and fitness goal. Live classes draw users through its two-way interactive streaming technology provided via web and app. Instructors use the
platform for all of the tools needed to grow an online business, including branding, scheduling, payments, live classes, VOD, integrated licensed music, CRM, and messaging. Moxie also integrates warm-up rooms, cool-down rooms, and class photos to create an interactive, community-led experience.

Later this spring, Moxie plans to debut Moxie Teams which will enable groups of instructors to join together to form small businesses on the platform, and allow consumers to choose from a wider range of
classes and coaches under a single subscription.
