Manna, a Dublin, Ireland-based food delivery startup which uses drones, raised $25M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Draper Esprit, with participation from Team Europe,  partners of DST Global, and existing investors Dynamo Ventures, Atlantic Bridge, and Elkstone.

The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach, continue to scale its fleet of drones and to begin supporting critical medical deliveries.

Led by Bobby Healy, CEO & founder, Manna designs, builds and operates unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) which perform high-speed deliveries of takeaway food, groceries and pharmacy goods/supplies of up to 3kgs (6.5lbs) in suburban last-mile settings.

The company is currently trialling its service in Galway, Ireland. The drone hub supports over 100 takeaway deliveries a day directly to the homes of the nearly 10,000 residents of the town.

Manna has also signed partnerships with major brands and retailers, including JustEat, Samsung, Ben & Jerry’s and Tesco plc.
