Disco, an Austin, TX-based skincare startup, raised $5M in seed funding.
The round was led by Midnight Venture Partners with participation from Paul Hedrick, Founder of Tecovas, Bryan Mahoney, Founder of Arfa Brands/Former CTO of Glossier and Taylor O’Neil, Founder of Richards Rainwater.
The company intends to use the funds to scale the business, expand their product offering, hire their core team, and accelerate their roll out to retail doors across the country.
Founded by Benjamin Smith, Disco offers skincare products (including face cleanser sticks, masks and scrubs, eye sticks, deodorants, body washes, hydrating face moisturizers at Nordstrom stores; Nordstrom.com; The Grove in Los Angeles, CA; Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA; Scottsdale Fashion Square in AZ; Michigan Ave. in Chicago, IL; Perimeter Mall in Atlanta, GA; and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, CA, with plans to be available at hundreds more places in 2021.
The brand also recently debuted on Amazon in March.
