Spectrio, a Tampa, Fla.-based provider of customer engagement technology, acquired Enplug, a Culver City, Calif.-based digital signage company.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The acquisition enhances Spectrio’s digital communications platforms, adding enterprise-level management features to meet the needs of global organizations, as well as expanding integrations to enhance the customization of brand communications.
Led by Nanxi Liu, CEO, Enplug provides a plug-and-play digital signage solution that features an intuitive online content management interface that integrates with many social media, corporate brand, team communications, and utility applications. The software platform includes enterprise-level security, automation, and management features as well as content approval workflows that allow anyone in the organization to contribute content without affecting brand integrity. The company recently released its free Enplug Art application, which brings more than 1,000 works of contemporary and classic art to any Internet-connected display or TV.
With the acquisition, Enplug clients will be able to integrate their brand and messages across additional customer touchpoints, using Spectrio’s customer engagement suite that includes Interactive Kiosks, On-Premise Messaging and Music, On-Hold Marketing, Wi-Fi Marketing, and Scent Marketing. Spectrio clients will gain enhancements for digital services, additional content capabilities, and expanded integrations with third-party applications.
