Mai (formerly known as Markable AI), a NYC-based automated video fashion shopping solution, raised $5m in Series A + funding.
The round was led by Arbor Ventures, followed by Partech Ventures, Tekton Ventures, Voyager Capital and Bascom Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.
Led by Joy Tang, Founder, Mai provides a fully-automated video fashion shopping solution which allows consumers to employ AI computer vision technology and use personalization and e-commerce bidding systems to buy all things on-trend. Mai is live with two of the largest social content platforms in Asia, with access to 800 million consumers, enabling them to shop over 200 million product SKUs on Farfetch, Revolve, Yoox, Bloomingdales, SHEIN, SSENSE, Forever21, Shopbop, Cafe24, Mark Styler, Alibaba, JD, Vipshop and Pinduoduo. The company is also working with luxury brands to convert online social traffic effectively which will allow viewers to instantly discover and shop on-trend products.
