January AI, a Menlo Park, CA-based metabolic health company that accurately predicts users’ glycemic response to over 16 million foods in its proprietary atlas, raised $8.8M in new funding, which brought total capital raised to $21M.
Backers included Felicis Ventures, HAND Capital and Marc Benioff, who joined AME Cloud Ventures and SignalFire, Steve Chen, Marissa Mayer, Mostafa Ronaghi, Lily Sarafan, and Gary Kennedy.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.
