Colossi Games, a Limassol, Cyprus – based gaming company focused on role-playing games (RPG), raised $2.5m in seed funding.
The round was led by EQT Ventures, with participation from existing investor Play Ventures.
The funding will be used to develop and market its first game, as well as the creation of future games.
Founded in early 2020 by CEO Manuel Prueter, CPO Andrey Panfilov, CTO Anton Petrov, Colossi Games is a games studio which is creating a social survival game on mobile. The game is set in Ancient Rome during the Roman Empire and incorporates elements of mythical lore. Players will be able to explore, band together, sabotage and fight others in colosseums as gladiators.
The team has already grown to a total of 10 people.
