BBC Maestro, a UK-based edtech video led e-learning platform, is raising £2.05m in its second funding round.
The first investment close – led by Downing Ventures – was confirmed today, with additional funding supported by Great Point Ventures.
The company intends to use the funds to expand marketing efforts and accelerate talent acquisition and production while also transitioning the service to a subscription all-access pass later this year.
BBC Maestro provides an Ed-Tech video led e-learning platform that offers courses taught by experienced creators. Despite initially marketing the service to UK consumers, the company has seen international interest from all over the world.
BBC Maestro is an independent company and operates in partnership with BBC Studios, a global content company which has offices in 22 markets globally, including ten production bases in the UK and production bases or partnerships in a further nine countries around the world.
