IBM (NYSE: IBM) acquired 7Summits, a Milwaukee-based Salesforce consultancy delivering transformative digital experiences across industries.

The amount of the deal was not disclosed.

The acquisition extends IBM’s portfolio of Salesforce services and experience design capabilities and further advances its hybrid cloud and AI strategy. 7Summits joins IBM Global Business Services, integrating into its Salesforce business.

The acquisition builds on IBM’s continued investment in Salesforce services to meet the client demand for experience-led business transformation and new customer engagement strategies backed by data, AI, and machine learning. Over the next three years, IBM Global Business Services will continue to expand hiring, training and certifications to support key growth areas for Salesforce, including Tableau, Mulesoft, and Vlocity, while continuing to build out new Salesforce specific offerings that leverage its complementary capabilities and industry expertise.

Led by Paul Stillmank, CEO, 7Summits leverages Salesforce solutions to build intelligent and connected experiences which allow companies to solve complex business problems. Clients include Harvard University, Mitsubishi Electric, Snowflake, Daltile, Boomi, and Tenable.

It was a portfolio company of Sverica Capital Management, a growth-oriented private equity firm that has raised over $1.1 billion across five funds. In 2013, Sverica partnered with Stillmank to capitalize on the company’s core strength—using technology to collaborate with co-workers, partners and customers to create business growth and efficiencies. The private equity firm and Stillmank then reinvested back into the company for several years to focus on driving the Salesforce business, implementing systems and processes to enhance forward revenue visibility, and creating organizational capacity by adding talented executives. These efforts created a meaningful number of technology jobs in Milwaukee and resulted in numerous accolades including being named a Best Place to work both locally and Nationally in 2020 and making the Inc. 5000 list five times in its history with 2020 marking the second consecutive year.
