Workit Health Raises $12M in Series B Financing

Workit Health, an Ann Arbor, MI-based virtual substance use disorder provider bringing evidence-based telemedicine care to individuals, healthcare organizations, and employers, raised $12m in Series B funding.

The round was led by FirstMark Capital with participation from Lux Capital, GingerBread Capital, Blue Cross and Blue Shield Venture Partners and actor Rob Lowe.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by Robin McIntosh and Lisa McLaughlin, Co-Founders and Co-CEOs, Workit Health provides web and phone apps that combine evidence-based therapy with medication management from a clinical care team. Its personalized and nonjudgmental programs are accessible to people at all stages of addiction recovery.

Since 2015, the company has rapidly expanded to over 150 employees with medically-assisted treatment available in five states and therapy available nationwide.
