Glance Raises $145M in Funding

Glance, a Bangalore, India-based lock screen platform provider raised $145m in funding.

Backers included Google and existing investor Mithril Capital.

The company will use the new funds to deepen its AI capability across Glance and Roposo, expand its technology team, launch services on the platform, further strengthen the brand and drive expansion in markets across Asia and the US.

A subsidiary of InMobi Group, Glance delivers AI-driven personalized content in multiple languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bahasa on the lock screen of Android smartphones. It has more than 115 million daily active users.

The company’s Roposo is a short-form video platform with more than 33 million monthly active users who spend 20 minutes daily consuming content across multiple genres in more than 10 languages. The Roposo app has been downloaded more than 100 million times on the Google Play Store.

The company is led by Naveen Tewari, Founder and CEO of Glance and InMobi Group.
