JobGet Raises $2.1M in Seed Funding

JobGet

JobGet, a Boston, MA-based mobile Job platform for hourly workers, raised $2.1m in seed funding.

The round was led by Pillar VC with participation from Data Point Capital Partners, Crocker Mountain Capital, EO Ventures, Greg Donoghue (Clover Food Lab), and Anna Marie Wagner (Gingko Bioworks).

The company will use the funding to launch a national expansion after a regional launch in Massachusetts.

Co-founded in 2019 by Tony Liu, Peter Lee, and Billy Lan, JobGet leverages AI matching technology to bring together qualified hourly job seekers with nearby businesses looking to hire. Employers use the in-app messaging and video chat features to schedule interviews in real-time, often reducing the time-to-hire from weeks to less than 24 hours.

The company launched with eight initial employer partners and within the first year has grown to more than 5,000 employer partner locations utilizing the platform. Businesses partnering with the company range from national employers such as Home Depot, McDonald’s, Block by Block, National Guard, Domino’s, and Shake Shack to popular local businesses such as Dig Inn and Expressions.
