MRM Global, an Edinburgh, Scotland, UK-based provider of marketing technology to the global drinks and hospitality sector, raised £2.6m in funding.
BGF made the investment. In conjunction with the funding, Euan Baxter, an investor at BGF, joined the Board of MRM Global.
The company intends to use the funds for further international growth with a focus on expanding its presence in North America and development of its technology platform with plans to triple the size of its Edinburgh based software engineering team to accelerate the product roadmap.
Led by Craig Letton, chief executive officer, MRM provides a technology platform that enables global drinks manufacturers and wholesalers to increase the level of marketing support they provide to their independent hospitality and retail customers. Its Brand Creator app enables sales reps and customers to quickly create on-demand marketing materials that increase brand visibility and product sales.
In the last three years, the company has expanded internationally to over 34 countries working with spirits and beer brands.
MRM Global has also appointed Andy Fennell as non-exec chairman.
