Carketa, a Pleasant Grove, Utah-based developer of the Carketa “Recon” SaaS app and Carketa “Condition Report,” closed a $1.375 M seed financing round.
The round was led by Crosslink Capital with participation from Hack VC.
The company intends to use the funds to expand sales to independent and franchise dealers nationwide.
Founded in 2019 and led by CEO Brady Thurgood, Carketa provides Carketa Recon, an automating the recon process, which helps dealers sell more cars faster. With CarKeta Recon a dealer can upload their inventory from their Dealer Management Software (DMS), manage their cars from the auction to the customer, with active inventory management, vehicle valuations and with Carketa Connect, dealers and customers can track the car through the Recon process, often selling the car before it’s on the line.
The Carketa Condition Report is a 200+ point inspection system detailing a cars current condition.
