Athennian, a Calgary, Canada-based developer of a cloud-based legal entity management software platform, raised $8m in Series A funding.
The round was led by Arthur Ventures with participation from Round13 Capital, InterGen Capital, ATB Financial, and existing investors Thin Air Labs, BlueSky Equities, Viewpoint Capital, Strategic Equities, and others. In conjunction with the funding, Arthur Ventures’ General Partner Patrick Meenan joined Athennian’s board.
The company also announced a $2m seed financing round closed in Q3 2019.
The funds will be used to accelerate product-led growth and invest in scaling Athennian’s cloud infrastructure to support its growing global customer base.
Led by Adrian Camara, CEO, Athennian provides a cloud software platform used by legal departments and professional services firms to automate subsidiary and entity management. It integrates document generation, eSignatures, e-filing, and project management to automate workflows, such as entity formation, appointments, transactions, and annual compliance.
