Wrapbook Raises $3.6M in Seed Funding

Wrapbook, a provider of a software platform that powers payroll, insurance, and compliance for the entertainment industry, raised $3.6M in seed funding.

The round was led by Equal Ventures, with participation from Uncork Capital, founder of Paylocity Steve Sarowitz, and 4S Bay Partners.

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand operations and its business reach.

Led by CEO Ali Javid, Chief Product Officer Naysawn Naji, CTO Hesham El-Nahhas, and CMO Cameron Woodward, Wrapbook provides a platform for the entertainment industry, which encompasses TV, film, commercial production, and live events, and is worth $181 billion, according to the Motion Picture Association, to automate payroll filings and tax payments, calculating both federal and local taxes in all 50 states.

The company has offices in Los Angeles, New York City, and Toronto.
