ACE, a Singapore-based celebrity shoutout platform, raised over S$550K in pre-seed funding.

Backers included Manila Angel Investors Network (MAIN), celebrity host Max Loong and angel investors hailing from Grab, Carousell, Ayden Payments, and Google.

The company intends to use the funds for scaling – both in terms of talent acquisition and consumer base – and for expansion into the Southeast Asian market and international markets.

Founded in November 2019 by Dene Schonknecht, ACE (short for Authentic Celebrity Experiences) is a personalised celebrity video and collaborative platform designed for fans to connect directly with their celebrities for exclusive content. This can be done via short, personalised video messages – be it birthday songs, words of encouragement or answers to burning questions – for a small fee, set by each talent. The website currently features over 160 international celebrities including local Singapore actors Kumar, Gurmit Singh and Patricia Mok, Malaysian talents Joanne Kam and Steve Yap, Filipino bigwigs Pia Wurtzbach and Ruffa Gutierrez, Indian personalities Priyanka Roy and Romeer Sen, and more recently, the main cast of Netflix’s reality TV hit “Selling Sunset” including Christine Quinn and Heather Rae Young.
