Talkdesk, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based cloud contact center for innovative enterprises, raised $143m in Series C funding.
New investors included Franklin Templeton, Willoughby Capital, Skip Capital, Lead Edge Capital and Top Tier Capital Partners, along with existing partners Viking Global Investors and Threshold Ventures. The round brought the company’s valuation to more than $3 billion. In total, Talkdesk has raised $268m over its funding rounds.
The company intends to use the funds to increase research and development spending and to invest in go-to-market, sales, marketing and channel development.
Led by Tiago Paiva, chief executive officer, Talkdesk provides a cloud contact center used by over 1,800 innovative companies in 75 countries, including IBM, Acxiom, 2U, Trivago and Peloton.
The company’s team consists of some of the world’s top authorities in the area of CCaaS and customer experience.
