Raises $10M in Series A Funding

smartac, a Houston, TX-based maker of an air conditioning and heating (HVAC) health platform, launched out of stealth mode with $10m in funding.

The backers were not disclosed.

The company intends to use the funds to launch its platform and expand its reach.

Led by Josh Teekell, CEO and founder, and Andrew Fuselier, COO, has made an AI powered air conditioning and heating (HVAC) health platform that digitizes the experience of AC ownership, extends equipment life and allows homeowners to save money. Powered by machine learning, the platform notifies users of a potential breakdown before it occurs. Its sensors monitor temperatures, airflow, air filter life and drain lines to ensure the health of critical HVAC components.
