Clean Crop Technologies Raises $2.75M in Seed Funding

Clean Crop Technologies, Inc., a Northampton, Mass.-based agtech company, closed a $2.75m seed funding round.

The round was led by Prime Impact Fund with a $1.6m investment, with participation from Factor[e] Ventures, Innova Memphis, the Syndicate Fund, and the Alchemy Fund.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate development of its technology and expand the technical and product development capacity on the team.

Co-founded by Dan White and Dan Cavanaugh, who have a combined 25+ years of experience working in agricultural supply chains around the world, Clean Crop Technologies provides High Voltage Atmospheric Cold Plasma (HVACP) technology for reduction of food waste and crop loss across the food space. The company is now building a proprietary ionized air generator that is energy efficient and optimizes treatment effect in the processing environment. Field tests will begin in the US later this year. Clean Crop targets commercial deployments in emerging markets and the U.S starting in 2021.
