Transect, a San Antonio-based B2B SaaS company that partners with energy and other industries to identify and plan for environmental risk, secured venture capital funding of undisclosed amount.
The round was led by Blue Bear Capital with participation from existing investors Holt Ventures. Gary Horn, CEO of Horn Solutions, Inc. and return investor, joined the Transect founding team and Vaughn Blake, a partner at Blue Bear Capital, on the board.
The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and accelerate growth.
Founded in 2016 by Robin Laine, CEO, Transect provides environmental risk solutions for renewable energy, oil and gas, transportation, and real estate customers including Plains All American Pipeline, GE Renewable Energy, and Origis Energy.
The round coincides with the launch of Transect Vision, a prospecting tool that enables users to find the perfect project site.
