evervault, a Dublin, Ireland-based internet infrastructure company, closed a $16m Series A funding round.

The round, which brought the total raised by the company to over $19m, was led by Index Ventures, with participation from existing partners Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins and Frontline Ventures and angel investors Dylan Field (CEO, Figma), Kevin Hartz (co-founder, Eventbrite), Olivier Pomel (CEO, Datadog) and Alex Stamos (former Chief Security Officer, Facebook).

The company intends to use the funds to continue to expand its business reach.

Led by Shane Curran, founder and CEO, evervault is building the API for data privacy for companies which handle highly sensitive data — including location data, bank account data, payments data, kids’ data, enterprise data, and health and medical data.
