Esports Entertainment Group to Acquire Argyll Entertainment

Esports Entertainment Group, Inc, a publicly listed, licensed online gambling company focusing on 18+ gaming and esports wagering, is to acquire LHE Enterprises Ltd, the holding company of online sportsbook and casino operator Argyll Entertainment AG.

The deal, whose amount was not disclosed, also includes Argyll’s operating support subsidiaries.

The company, which launched its flagship brand – sportnation.bet – in the summer of 2017, has grown within the the Irish and UK market. It today leverages a team of 40 people who have expertise in technology, risk management, marketing, and regulation in order to provide customers with a secure online gaming experience, rewards programs, and access to proprietary gaming and sports content. Argyll is incorporated in Switzerland, with support services in London, UK and Malta. It is licensed and regulated by the Irish Revenue Commissioners under licence reference no. 1014456 and the UK Gambling Commission under licence no. 000-045143-R-323955-001 to operate online sportsbook and casino sites in the Ireland and UK, respectively.

With Argyll already generating approximately $12m in revenue annually, the acquisition will have a major positive impact for Esports Entertainment Group.
