Clear Labs Raises $18M in Funding

Clear Labs, a Menlo Park, CA-based provider of a automated and intelligent diagnostic NGS platform, raised a $18M strategic round of funding.

The round, which has raised $62M to date, was led by Redmile Group, with participation from existing investors including Wing VC, Menlo Ventures, Tyson Ventures, Khosla Ventures, GV, Felicis Ventures, and HBM Genomics.

The company intends to use the funds to commercialize its food safety platform, Clear Safety, to leverage its underlying Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology in the clinical market, specifically to enhance the availability and quality of COVID-19 diagnostic tests.

Clear Labs provides an automated and intelligent diagnostic NGS platform integrating DNA sequencing, bioinformatics, and robotics for safeguarding the global food supply and enhancing preventative food safety management systems.
