Cabana, a Seattle, WA-based travel-tech startup, raised $3.5m in seed funding round.
The round was led by Craft Ventures, with participation from Goldcrest Capital, Travis VanderZanden, CEO & Founder at Bird, and Sunny Madra, Vice President Ford X at Ford Motor Company.
The company intends to use the funds to scale operations, and offer its services to more people looking for modern travel alternatives.
Led by Scott Kubly, founder and CEO, Cabana has built out a fleet of upscale custom-made mobile hotel rooms, using 2019 Ford Transit vans.
An app, available on iOS and Android, lets travelers reserve, check-in, pick-up, and check-out of their mobile hotel room without having to make a stop to the front desk.
