Pamlico Capital Closes Fund V, at $1.4 Billion

Pamlico Capital, a Charlotte, NC-based lower middle market private equity firm focused on growth-oriented businesses, closed a new fund, at $1.4 billion.

Pamlico Capital V exceeded the original $1.25 billion target with commitments coming from a diverse group of global investors comprised of funds of funds, insurance companies, corporate and foreign pension funds, endowments, foundations and family offices.

As with previous funds, PC V will seek equity investments of $25 million to $125 million in growing companies with total enterprise values of between $50 million and $350 million.

Founded in 1988, Pamlico Capital primarily invests in growing middle market companies in North America focused on equity and buyout opportunities within the business and technology services, communications and healthcare sectors in North America. Since 2002, the firm has invested over $2.7 billion in over 60 portfolio companies.
