Datometry, Inc., a San Francisco, CA-based data warehouse virtualization platform, raised $17m in Series B funding.

The round was led by WRVI Capital with participation from previous investors Nepenthe, Dell Technologies Capital, Redline Capital, and Acorn Pacific.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate go-to-market activities with its partners, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform as well as select systems integrators.

Led by Mike Waas, CEO, Datometry provides cloud based data virtualization platform which lets existing applications run as-is, directly on a cloud data warehouse, through partnerships with Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform, without requiring any code changes. Existing applications become instantly interoperable with modern data technology, eliminating the need for risk-laden migration projects. The company currently serves several Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies.
