BizAway, a Spilimbergo, PN, Italy- and Barcelona, Spain-based provider of a platform to manage and organize business travels, raised €2.5M in second funding.
The round was led by MundiVentures with participation from new and existing investors, including Federico Gonzalez Tejera, CEO of Radisson.
The company intends to use the funds to enhance the platform, implement new tools, grow in new markets and consolidate in Italy, with 25 new hires, bringing the team to 60 people.
Co-founded by Luca Carlucci and Flavio Del Bianco, BizAway provides a platform to manage business travels, which has enabled over 35.000 bookings with over €1m in savings for over 400 companies including Casavo, Credimi, Freeda, Penta, Cimolai, Rizzani de Eccher, Satispay, among others. The system also gives users access to a multilanguage team who can communicate directly with suppliers, without relying on middlemen. The company, which has 35 employees in Spilimbergo and Barcelona, reached over €3.5m in turnover in 2019.
