Supermercato24, an Italian e-grocery marketplace, raised €11m in funding.

Backers in the round included DIP Capital LLP, which made the investment via DIP Fund I, and existing investors FII Tech Growth, 360 Capital Partners, and Innogest.

The company intends to use the funds to solidify its position in Italy, while further boosting its international expansion after recent launch of the service in Poland and deploying additional services for retailers.

Founded by Enrico Pandian and now led by Federico Sargenti, CEO, Supermercato24 gives customers the possibility to have all their groceries handpicked and delivered on the same-day, from their favorite supermarket and at the same price they would get in-store. At the same time, the platform allows retailers to start selling their groceries online with no up-front investment costs. The company has an international team of about 140 people in Milan, Verona, and Warsaw, with plans to expand its business in further countries by the end of the year.
