Haus, a Sonoma County, CA-based spirits brand, raised $4.5m in seed funding round.

Contributing funds include Combine, Haystack Ventures, Homebrew, Shrug Capital, Resolute Venture Partners, Coatue, Dream Machine, Work Life Ventures, Great Oaks Venture Capital, Selva Ventures, CX Collective, Backend Capital, Brand Foundry, Color Capital and AUFI Limited. Angel investors include Arianna Simpson (founder and Managing Partner at ASP), Balaji Srinivasan, Casey Neistat, Elizabeth and Kevin Weil, Gerry Ruvo (former CEO and Chairman of Campari), Jen Rubio (Away Co-Founder), Niv Dror (Founder of Shrug Capital), Ligaya Tichy (Partner at Uncommon Holdings), Magdalena Kala (VP at Bain Capital), Margaret Stewart (VP of Design at Facebook), Michael Kives (Founder of K5 Global), Mike Kruzeniski (Head of Design at Twitter), Nik Sharma, Rahul Vohra (Founder of Superhuman), Russell Simmons (co-founder of Yelp) and Web Smith (Founder of 2PM).

The company intends to use the funds to expand its portfolio of apéritifs, launch wholesale in New York City, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and Denver, and launch an editorial platform as well as other forthcoming programs designed to spur organic growth.

Launched in June 2019 by Woody Hambrecht and Helena Price Hambrecht, Haus has just launched Haus Membership, a monthly subscription program that gives members access to exclusive flavors, product discounts and members-only events. The company will begin launching limited edition flavors exclusively for those who join membership. Free to join, members pay for the monthly bottle allotment of their choice and gain access to members-only perks like exclusive flavor launches, product discounts, and events. Customers can select 6 bottles per month ($144), 2 bottles per month ($63) or 1 bottle per month ($35).
