Wellframe, Inc., a Boston, MA-based provider in Digital Health Management solutions, closed a $20M series C funding.
The round was led by BlueCross BlueShield Venture Partners (BCBSVP), with participation from existing investors Threshold Ventures and F-Prime Capital. In addition to the funding, BCBSVP Managing Director Mike Spadafore and Steve Martin, CEO Emeritus of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska, will join the Wellframe Board of Directors.
Led by Jacob Sattelmair, CEO and co-founder, Wellframe provides a patented Digital Care Management solution which extends the reach and effectiveness of care teams, delivering interactive clinical programs to members’ smartphones or tablets. The company provides plans with information relative to members’ day-to-day health, facilitates high-touch, relationships between members and their care teams, and empowers patients to become active participants in their care.
The company intends to use the funds to hire in its Boston office, accelerate its leadership in the Digital Health Management market, and advance its Digital Health Management solutions, Digital Health Advocate, which expands support for members beyond their clinical needs, to include administrative, financial and healthcare system navigation.
