NSi Industries, LLC, a Hunterville, NC-based provider of electrical and control products, acquired SullStar Technologies, a Simi Valley, California-based company that designs patented tools and connectors for the datacom and telecom markets.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
With the acquisition, NSi Industries will expand its product portfolio and leadership position in the low-voltage product market. As part of the overall deal, NSi will gain ownership and work on maintaining and enforcing SullStar’s current patents.
The SullStar products will be branded under NSi’s Platinum Tool division.
Led by G. R. Schrotenboer, chief executive officer, NSi Industries is a provider of electrical products covering over 25 product categories, addressing all the needs of electrical contractors and their customers. NSi’s products and brands include:
– TORK® mechanical and digital time switches, photocontrols and occupancy sensors; and
– WarriorWrap™ electrical tapes; and Polaris®, the original insulated connector.
Led by Rob Sullivan, SullStar Technologies provides solutions for the preparation, installation and hand termination of wire and cable. For more than 20 years, the company has been partnering with NSi Industries’ Platinum Tools division, which NSi acquired earlier this year, for the distribution and sales of its products.
SullStar’s patented specialty electrical products include crimp tools, pushdown tools and connectors and has over 60 patents worldwide.
